Privacy: the Check tool

Check keeps no account and stores nothing about you. This page says what passes through while you use it.

What you type: A business type, a place and your answers live in the page's address, so you can share or bookmark a result. They are not stored on our side.
A description: If you describe a business in your own words, that text is sent once to Anthropic's model to pick a business type, and is not stored or logged by us. Don't put personal details in it.
Company lookups: We fetch public register data from Companies House and cache it for an hour so shared links don't repeat the request. Postcodes are resolved to a council through postcodes.io.
Rate limits: Your IP address is used, briefly and in memory at the edge, to keep model calls to a few a minute. It is not written anywhere.
Analytics: Cabin, which sets no cookies and holds no identifier.
